Newcastle pop trio ALXNDR released their debut EP, ‘RWND’, back in November 2015. Now a new single, ‘Something New’, and series of April tour dates have arrived. Exciting stuff for fans of the up and coming new band.

RWND is a collection of five breezy pop songs. But its much more than the standard manufactured pop record. This debut EP is backed with nostalgia and takes cues from 90s indie pop. Vocalist and guitarist Anth Snowdon explained that the North East outfit wanted to create a ‘nostalgic musical soundtrack’

“RWND feels like a huge turning point for us…with this EP there’s really been no boundaries musically, we’ve just been excited to dive into influences that have affected us as musicians throughout our lives. We take a lot of influence from ’90s pop and R&B pioneers. This has created a nostalgic musical soundtrack, hence the title”.

Vocal harmonies and jangling guitars draw parallels to Brighton newcomers, The Magic Gang’s debut EP. Feel-good track, ‘Four AM’ and chilled out ‘Pick Up’ are definite highlights.

ALXNDR take their debut effort, new single and even more new material on the road with their April tour.
